um when I asked on the 3d realms forum about half a year a go, all I got was a nono, that there was noway to change the FOV..
but
then I read this in the "features" section for the build engiee on Jonofs website, and I quote
"Ability to change the FOV (Field Of View) on-the-fly"
is there a way to change the FOV with jonofs build, or something? and if so is the case, how do I do that??

Yes, it is possible to change the FOV. Perhaps you remember the view changing when you are shrunk in Duke3D? The Build engine supports it. Unfortunately, there are some problems in Polymost mode when you look up/down - the perspective is warped. Even so, I think it still works well enough to be supported as a console option. If you want to see how well it works, there are some keys in KenBuild (The Build editor that comes with JFBuild) which let you control the FOV and aspect ratio: '9','0','-','='.
